Browser Diagnostics

Check API availability, verify storage read/write access and test WebGL rendering in this browser. A missing browser feature does not by itself mean your device is faulty.

Run browser checks

Feature checks inspect API availability without requesting camera, microphone, location or notification permission. Storage tests write a temporary test value and remove it. WebGL draws and reads a tiny test canvas, then releases its context. Results stay on this page.

How to interpret these checks

API availability is not a hardware pass

An exposed API can still be blocked by permissions, browser policy, an embedded-page restriction or an unavailable device. Use the microphone, webcam and controller tests to verify actual input.

Storage access is specific to this website

A successful temporary write confirms access on this origin in this session. It does not measure disk health, available physical storage or every website. Private browsing and privacy settings can restrict storage. These checks do not read, clear or export your existing saved data.

WebGL rendering is a capability check

A passed rendering check confirms that a WebGL context rendered a small triangle and returned non-black pixels. It is not a GPU benchmark or driver certification. A failure can come from hardware acceleration settings, context limits, browser policy or a software-rendering restriction.

Browser troubleshooting

  1. Update your browser and restart it after saving open work.
  2. Compare the same check in another current browser. A browser-specific failure points to settings or support.
  3. For a graphics failure, review hardware acceleration settings and restart the browser. Do not disable security protections.
  4. For blocked storage, review this site's storage settings and privacy restrictions. Avoid clearing all browsing data as a first step.
  5. For missing media input, open the relevant working test and request permission there.
